Optima i.q. Faucet

Sloan Optima® Faucets are specified more than any other brand of electronic faucet. Optima Faucets are crafted in the tradition of Sloan Quality with advanced, state-of-the-art electronics. Optima Faucets are "hands free" and are engineered and built by Sloan, the leader in electronic plumbing applications.

Sloan has designed and installed more electronic plumbing installations than any other single manufacturer. The reason is that Sloan pioneered the use of electronics in the restroom. Our knowledge-base of applications has provided us with the foundation to solve the most complex hygiene and plumbing problems.

Sloan’s Optima EAF-100/150 Series electronic hand washing faucets operate by means of a dual infrared sensor and microprocessor-based logic that utilize self-adapting technology to ensure superior performance. The modular design incorporates all of the operating components of the faucet, including the sensor, solenoid, circuitry and battery, above the sink within a die-cast metal spout.

ISM models feature an integral temperature control lever which allows the user to adjust the water temperature. This adjustment can also be converted to a fixed setting. EAF faucets ordered without the ISM variation must be connected to a single, pretempered water supply.

The i.q.-Cliq feature allows the user to place the faucet into optional function modes, including “continuous run” and “temporary off,” simply by pressing a button on the spout. The i.q.-Cliq feature is recommended only in installations where users have a regular familiarity with the faucet (i.e., executive and non-public restrooms). Models furnished with the i.q.-Cliq feature are also available with a Pop Up Drain.

Optima EAF-150 series faucets include a 6 VDC lithium battery. Battery life is approximately three (3) years. EAF-100 series faucets are AC powered and are furnished with a plug-in transformer.
