Sloan has exemplified this commitment with a landmark purchase of renewable energy credits that offset 100 percent of the electricity used in the Franklin Park, Ill., manufacturing facility – making it the largest renewable energy purchase in the plumbing industry and the largest corporate purchase of renewable energy in the state of Illinois. Underscoring this long-standing commitment to renewable energy, Sloan recently installed two wind turbines and a solar array on the roof of its headquarters.
All Sloan flushometers are made from a high level of recycled material and are 100 percent recyclable. Taking it further, Sloan is the first and only plumbing company to have products – the dual-flush UPPERCUT® and the Royal® flushometers – certified Cradle-to-Cradle. This certification goes beyond our products’ water-saving attributes; it is a true assessment of the overall, combined impact of Sloan’s manufacturing, material selection, recycled/recovered material use, and all processes related to product creation.
